There are a few notable cards in this starter deck that offer some great benefits when played due to their unique abilities.
While the starter decks are aimed at newcomers, collectors, and players who have already jumped in with The First Chapter will want to grab these decks for their own deck-building purposes, as well as collect the foil cards. Each starter deck comes with the 60 cards needed to play, two of which are foil cards, a booster pack, and newly colored, in the scheme of Rise of the Floodborn, damage counters, Lore tracker tokens, and a paper playmat. These combinations are different from the starter decks featured in The First Chapter. The first deck features cards from Sapphire and Amber inks, while the other has cards from Steel and Amethyst.
The decks are playable right out of the box and are built using two of the six ink types the game features. The starter decks are pre-built 60-card decks that give players a balanced level of play, so they can dive right into the magical game world of Lorcana. To get players started, Rise of the Floodborn will feature two starter decks along with new booster packs, a new Illumineer's Trove, and new, character-themed playmats, deck boxes, and card sleeves.
